Croquet Evening

An extra opportunity to get together came in the form of the annual croquet evening, hosted by Katharine and her friends at Duncton Croquet Club. The weather was firmly on our side this year with a beautiful warm, sunny evening, so everyone was very relaxed playing a few rounds of croquet or sitting on the sidelines enjoying watching other people’s pain as their balls rocketed off in entirely the wrong direction - I certainly haven’t improved over the years!

After the playing there was a delicious spread of salads and puddings for our supper, and conversation was lively around the table while admiring the beautiful view from the lawns. Thank you again Katharine, for organising such a pleasurable evening.
